Small Farms Making a Difference

Brock Perennials

This grower uses synthetic fertilizers and/or pesticides.

My mother-in-law and I have active gardens that specialize in perennials and shrubs. Hostas, daylilys, crepe myrtles, mock orange, etc.

We always have ‘extras’ or ‘babies’ that can be easily transplanted so are always looking for ways to ‘get rid of them’. Making a few bucks at the same time would be nice also. Just to cover our food purchases!

Our most precious heritage shrub is a pink crepe myrtle that has been in the Brock family for over 100 years. It’s so hardy that they sprout from the roots when I move them! They came from Virginia around 1900 and are still growing in Brock, MS. (just west of West, MS). I first saw them in the early 70’s at the old homeplace and they were over 30 ft tall!

I will take pictures of them when they bloom and post them here. I have several available for sale now, but have not established a price.
