Speckled cook up a nice brown and have a creamy and earthy flavor. They are a traditional bean in the South. All of the beans were fresh frozen within a day of harvesting and shelling. They went straight in the freezer and await your beckon call. Enjoy! Growing methods- We used conventional fertilizers in preparing seedbeds. There was also a major outbreak of bean beetles in june so a permethrin based insecticide was used. This was long before blooms had even formed and no other applications were needed after that time.
